Holter Monitoring Test

A pacemaker insertion is the implantation of a tiny electronic device to assist control slow electrical cardiac issues. It is often done in the chest, right below the collarbone. To make sure that the heartbeat does not drop to a dangerously low rhythm, a pacemaker might be advised. The cardiac muscle acts as a pump when electrical currents, which typically flow along a certain circuit inside the heart, are applied. The sinus or sinoatrial (SA) node, a little mass of specialized tissue situated in the right atrium (upper chamber) of the heart, is where this regular electrical circuit starts. Under normal circumstances, the SA node produces an electrical stimulus 60 to 100 times per minute (for adults); this electrical impulse initiates the heartbeat.
