Ambulatory BP Monitoring

Your blood pressure is monitored while you go about your regular activities as part of ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, or ABPM. For a maximum of 24 hours, it is measured. A tiny digital blood pressure monitor is connected to an upper arm cuff and fastened to a belt around your waist. It's small enough that wearing it while sleeping won't interfere with your day-to-day activities. Your doctor can obtain a comprehensive understanding of the fluctuations in your blood pressure throughout the day by taking your blood pressure at consistent intervals, up to a 24-hour period. It also eliminates the issues associated with "white coat" syndrome because you can continue with your regular activities.
